Last week's picture was pretty weak so, this week I applied a bit of mascara and tried to smile. My smile reminds me of Fozzie bear.

Weighing and Winning
Sarah wants us work as a team this year for our weigh to win weigh ins. So, this year instead of earning money, I am earning points.
Still, I don't want to be the one that brings the team down. So, I have to read all the emails they send me(1 point), posted to facebook (25 points), made a journal entries (10 points) taken the weekly quiz proving you actually read the emails (20 points) and worse of all weighed in (100),
I started and new notebook. Here are my calorie intakes in the new notebook. I don't remember last weekend, but it seems I just decided not to count calories last weekend. Probably wasn't thinking of Sarah and her points.
Anyway, Wed April 18 1280, April 19 1405, April 20 1400, April 23 1255, April 24 1475, April 25 1565 and yesterday April 26 1110. Average count is 1356 calories.

New begining
I have calorie counts for the last month, but they are rather dismal. So, I may post some day, but not today. Today is a new beginning. I had to weight in last Friday, so I am using that picture and moving forward. I am not going to try to make up for lost time, just do the best I can day by day.

I should be jumping up on the scales to see if I lost anything this month, but I am going to skip this month. My next weigh in will be around April 15th.

Losing It
I seem to have lost a couple of pounds this week. I have been holding at around 1200 kcal, and I never use to lose weight, but I have been fairly consist and I don't have to deal with female hormone imbalances so maybe that is key. I will be taking another picture next week to see if that translate into a noticeable change. In the old day you were either losing inches or pounds and at last weigh in I think I looked thinner, but the scales showed little change. Maybe I will be losing pounds this month and inches next month. Only time will tell.

There is always Tomorrow
I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog my calorie counts until now. You would think being busy would slow down one's calorie intake, but for me that has not been the case. Anyway, here are the counts. Wednesday Feb 22 1177 kcals, Thursday Feb 23 1145 kcals, Friday Feb 24 1175 kcals, Saturday Feb 25 1055 kcals, Sunday Feb 26 890 kcal (finally a good day), Monday Feb 27 1283 kcals, and Tuesday Feb 28 1585 kcals (WHAT). Average 1187 kcals. As long as I stay under 1500 I won't be gaining, and now that is the goal.

Holding Pattern
I seem to be on a maintenance plan. Here are my counts for last week. Wednesday Feb 15 890 kcal, Thursday Feb 16 905 Kcal, Friday Feb 17 1035 Kcal, Saturday Feb 18 1000 Kcal, Sunday Feb 19 1305 Kcal, Monday Feb 20 1745 kcal, Tuesday Feb 21 1340. Weekly average 1174. The only day I used the treadmill was Thursday for 20 minutes 1.15 miles.

Calorie Meltdown
I have been avoiding posting last week because Tuesday, February 14th, my supervisor took us to lunch and although it was alot of fun, caloriewise it was a disaster. Then because it was Valentine's Day Paul had got a box of chocolates. After the chocolates I started I kinda of spiraled out of control. Lets just say I exceeded the feed limit by at least 3,000 calories. I did weigh in before the luncheon so I am posting that picture. The Kios scale reported that I had lost 3 pounds for the month of January.
Here is my calorie intake for last week (except for Tuesday). I am not posting Tuesday because after 3,500 calories I stop counting. Wednesday Feb 8 1170 calories, 20 minutes, one mile. Thursday Feb 9 920 calories, 20 minutes, 1.1 miles. Friday Feb 10 885, 20 minutes, 1.05 mile. Saturday Feb 11 895, Sunday Feb 12 1015. Monday Feb 13 660, 20 minutes, 1.1 mile. Treadmill
Tuesday I started using the treadmill. It's like housework. Hard to begin, but once you start you want to finished. The hardest day was the 1st day. My varicose veins have let me know they were not happy with the increased activity, but I slowed it down a bit and the pain has been bearable (so far). I do seem to be a bit more perky since I started (Tuesday). Now if it could some how curb my appetite.
I did accidently look in the big mirror that is in the women's locker room wearing nothing but my skivies. Just thinking about it makes me shiver.
Here's last weeks totals.Wednesday Feb 1 925, Thursday Feb 2 1770, Friday Feb 3 1170, Saturday Feb 4 1115, Sunday Feb 5 1150. Monday Feb 6 1020, Tuesday Feb 7 1125. Week average is 1182. Not going to lose much weight at that rate, but on a positive note, at least I won't be gaining. I don't have the nerve to weigh myself. However, I will have to climb the Kios scale next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Slow and Steady
Last week I was kind of disappointed because my appetite was getting the best of me. This week I re-evaluated the situation and decide I was in no hurry to get to my ideal weight because once I get there I no longer have a goal and I start gain. So, for me, It makes more sense to loose the weight slow and steady.

Diet Hemorrhage
There is no question the id is in charge, and it is letting the ego know what is going on, and the superego is not even trying. I have no idea how to stop the diet hemorrhage. I am so ashamed of my progress, but I have to be honest and record what really went down.

Way to Recovery
I made it through the Holidays pretty much unscathed, but the beginning of the new year was extremely hard. I have been back on the wagon since Friday, so I am ever hopeful I am on the way to recovery. Last March some Kios put a scale downstairs so we could track our progress.
Its a machine that basically weighs, reports a BMI, and takes your picture every time you set on the scale. I wanted to start using it last November, but I couldn't remember my password, the new one did not work and it would not let me sign in as new member, because I was already registered and I did not have the time or inclination to figure it out. But today I powered through my frustration and got log on (hopefully it will work next month when I try to weigh in again).
So, I plan on putting a Kios photograph on my blog the middle of each month.
Jan 3 1150 kcal, Jan 4 1080 kcal, Jan 5 1170 kcal, Jan 6 1480 kcal, Jan 7 300 kcal, Jan 8 1637. Jan 9 1840 Kcal. Average for week 1237. 78.18 Kg.

My new plan is to avoid sugar. I think I might have a slight sugar addiction. I seem to due okay as long as I limit my sugar intake. It seems as soon as sugar touches my lips I can not help but to crave more and more.

New Year, New Begining
We took down the tree yesterday, which means for us, the holidays are officially over. I did not spend much for Christmas, but I made up for lost time on the 31st and 1st. Tuesday Morning was offering half off of last price on all yellow (clearance) tag items. The temptation was just too much. I hit six stores on Saturday, and then on Sunday I hit Dillard's. Dillard had the same deal, half off of last price on all pink (clearance) tags. I only went to one store, but I went to my car four times because I could not carry anymore.
The reason I bring this up is because I have a feeling my out of control spending is somehow related to the fact that I have such a hard time controlling my diet. For some reason I have very little resistance to enticing little morsels. My solution has always been to stay away from temptation, but maybe I need to rethink that strategy, maybe I need to work on building resistance. 79kgs.
